Itinerary

Day 1: Tashkent

Enjoy the view of Tashkent upon arrival while transport takes you to your hotel. Today's sightseeing depends on your arrival time.

Day 2: Tashkent-Urgench/Khiva

Fly Tashkent-Urgench, and transfer to Khiva which has a history that spans over two millennia. The inner town has 26 hectares and was built according to the ancient traditions of Central Asian town building. You will start with exploring the Old City. Then, you'll visit Khast-Imam Complex, where the world-famous Quran, a holy book that belonged to Caliph Uthman, has been preserved visit Ichan-Qala Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In Ichan-Qala Fortress visit Kunya-Ark, Sayeed Alauddin Mausoleum, Arab-Mukhamadkhan Madrasah, Oq-Masjid Mosque, Madrasah of Hodjan Berdi-biya, Shirgazikhan Madrasah, and Jameh Mosque.

Day 3: Khiva to Bokhara

Today, you'll have free time in Khiva, the afternoon you'll have a drive to Bokhara which takes about 6 hours. In Bokhara, you can visit the local market and enjoy the traditional bazaar.

Day 4: Bukhara to Samarkhand

Bukhara was an important regional and world hub for many years. Today, we explore Bukhara on a half-day guided walking tour. Visit the spectacular Ark building, a fortress that was occupied from the 5th century right up until its bombing in 1920, the Bolo - Hauz Mosque. Then, Wander the artisan shops and narrow twisting streets and alleyways, or sit at a café table and let the evening drift by. In the afternoon you'll have a drive to Samarkhand.

Day 5: Samarkhand

Marco Polo described Samarkand as a 'very large and splendid city,' and after a four-hour drive you'll find out for yourself Today, you'll visit the observatory of Ulughbek, the Afrosiab museum with Fresco, and artifacts found at Afrosiab old settlement dating back to 6 BC up to 13 AD. With a free afternoon, continue exploring the Samarkand sights, have a cuppa in a local tea house, or wander around the bazaar. Opt to explore the Tomb of Prophet Daniel, famous for the Biblical story of Daniel and the lions.

Day 6: Samarkhand to Tashkent

Transfer to Samarkand train station, early morning train to Tashkent, upon arrival meet your guide & driver, and start Tashkent sightseeing. Visit Khast-Imam Complex, where the world-famous Quran, a holy book that belonged to Caliph Uthman, has been preserved. The complex consists of Barak-Khan Madrasah, Tillya Sheykh Mosque, Saint Abu Bakr Kafal Shashi Mausoleum, and the Islamic Institute of Imam al-Bukhari. Continue to Chorsu Bazaar.
